What’s wrong with this sign? Can anyone guess what they mean and why the words are spelled this way?
I went to eat brunch at Garden Cafe in The Bronx, NY and I noticed this on the menu. I’m not a Spanish native speaker, but I remember high school Spanish class.
I noticed this immediately:
The proper spelling is Huevos. I can see why they might have mistaken the spelling of Huevos. J makes a sound similar to H like house, or Jalapeno.
I noticed this when I was visiting a very ethnic part of NJ. It was on Bergenline Ave in West New York, NJ. Did they party too hard and misspell the word night?
